As far as I'm concerned, we're still in the cars, driving at normal speed, halfwayish to Port Angeles.

Edward rose a brow at Alice's tone but said nothing. It was clear she was grappling with her inner emotions and trying hard to find something concrete to latch onto in this situation with Aria. This he could understand, since he too felt like things were not as distinct as they could be. It bothered him just as much as it bothered Alice that he hadn't been able to see Aria's true intentions. But perhaps Alice was having more luck than he was...
"Do you see anything?" he asked. His voice was a quiet murmur, not wanting to disrupt her if she was indeed seeing something. They were pulling into the town now and Edward careened smoothly into a parking spot and shut off the purring engine. He turned his full attention on Alice and watched her carefully as her thoughts played across his mind. They only had a few moments before they needed to get out of the car, and Edward wanted to be prepared for anything, even if all this suspicion turned out to be needless.

Alice sighed. "There's nothing there," she said quietly. "It's all inane and pointless. I just see her talking to Orina, but I can't tell what they're saying. I see her leaving, but I don't know when. And after that, it's gone." She tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. "So much has been unclear and foggy recently--I feel as if it's all...slipping away." Alice unlatched the car door and slipped outside, following Rosalie and Bella with Edward at her side, noticing Aria's car pull up behind the silver Volvo and Orina climb out the passenger door. "I think I'm watching too much. I'm keeping an eye on James and his other vampires, and on Bella, and on all of us, and then we add Aria...things are slipping through, becoming unclear and chainging so rapidly I can't keep up anymore."

Edward turned his eyes on Alice as they waited for Orina and Aria to join them, and he tried to keep the worry he felt at hearing her words from his expression.
“You’re doing fine, Alice,” he said with sincerity, his lips barely moving with the rapidity of his words. “Don’t strain yourself. James and the others are more important right now. They’re the ones we need to worry about.”
His jaw clenched as he thought of the other vampires who were known threats to all of them and Bella. Edward knew exactly what Alice meant when she said that things were unclear and slipping through the cracks. He’d found that it was more difficult to hone in on one mind in particular and sort out the suspicious from the safe. There was too much going on…too many new elements entering the picture at once. Edward was so used to being the protector of his family, using his gift to see into the minds of any who dare mean harm to them. But now there were threats on all sides, some certain and some more obscure. It made him feel helpless. Something he despised feeling. He’d just have to try harder, he thought.
He watched as Orina and Aria approached and kept his expression formal…politely distant. Another glance at Alice showed him how tense she was and he suddenly wished Jasper was there. They could all use some of his influence at the moment…
Well, this should be interesting.

Aria pulled into the parking space behind Edwards cars and got out silently. It was obvious that they had been talking about her in the car, but she didn't know what conclusion they had made about her or whether they even made one at all. It was better to play it safe.
She stood on the passenger side of her car waiting for Orina to get out. She stood there neither smiling or frowning. She was pretty sure Edward was or going to see what they were talking about. "I have nothing to hide." she thought at him "Go ahead and look."

The car door opened and Orina silently slid out, fixing up her disheveled shirt. "So which place should we go in first?" She asked in general. "I don't have a preference but i assume others do?" She questioned. Her voice was quiet but she was sure that it was breaking the tension between Aria and everyone else. There seemed to be this rubber band that both sides were pulling on and when one let go, it would hurt the other (or both).

Bella watched Edward and Alice. She just wanted to get this over with, with out any blood shed that is. Bella, like Edward really wished Jasper was here to calm everyone when tensions were so high like this. Bella slowly opened the door and got out of the car. She immediately went over to Edward's side and opened the door for him, smiling trying to lighten the mood if she could.
"Where should we go first Edward?" She asked. Bella then realized that she was the only human in the whole group, the only one that really needed to eat... It wasn't that Bella wasn't used to this it's just that she wasn't used to OTHERS besides herself and the Cullen's.

Edward's lips turned almost imperceptibly upward at the thought Aria had sent him. The girl was sharp. He'd give her that.
"Forgive me if my actions are coming across as rude," he said to her, keeping his voice light. "There is a need for us to be careful, however. I'm sure you understand."
His eyes turned to Bella and he could immediately tell that she felt out of place. With good reason, he supposed. It's not every day a human goes sightseeing alone with a group of vampires.
"Why don't we walk a bit?" he suggested to the group. "We can stop if you see anything interesting." Without waiting for responses, he grabbed Bella's hand and set off at an easy pace. He leaned his head down and spoke quietly to her.
"Are you...thirsty or anything? Hungry?" he asked, uncertain. It was always in the back of his mind that Bella was still very much a human and that she needed things much more often than he and the rest of his family did.

"That sounds good to me." Orina chimed in. "I don't mind walking. I've been in the car for a bit..." she trailed off, realizing that no one was really paying attention (she thought) because of Aria being here. She uncomfortably shuffled her feet together. "So Aria," She asked, trying to strike a conversation, "where do you want to go?"
Her eyes turned to Aria and she faked a small smile. She started to get the feeling that coming here might have been a bad idea. 'Always so insecure Orina.' She thought to herself.
