Esme watched as Edward came in the door and his confused face turned to horror stricken. "Edward please, let us explain...sit down."
She looked straight into Edward's eyes and began to explain what had happened through her thoughts. Edward...we think there is a vampire that is killing at will and for pleasure. Bella might be in danger, and I think we may need to retrieve her from Port Angeles. She communicated to him silently.
Esme sat back and looked away from Edward's almost angry face and back to Carlisle's. "Maybe we should check on Alice, and make sure nothing's happened to Bella..." Her voice turned to a whisper and her face fell.
A terrible feeling struck her...like something had happened to the poor girl. They needed to find her as soon as possible before it was to late...

Rosalie saw Edward enter the room. She knew that he had been listening just by the look on his face. His protectiveness was beginning, and Rose was sure everyone in the room could feel it. She noticed that Esme was looking straight into Edward's eyes and Edward's eyes were kind of glazed over. This was telling her that Esme was speaking to Edward through her thoughts.
"Esme, would you like me to go get Alice?" Rosalie asked kindly. From the looks on everyone's faces, she was the calmest one there, and so she figured she might as well. She put four fingers into her jeans pocket and fingered the cell phone. She began to think about what could have happened to Bella. But then her nerves where calmed again as she remembered Alice was there, and she was incredible in combat.

"No need Rosalie," called Alice lightly from the top of the stairs, "I'm here." She walked down the rest of the stairs slowly, taking her time. Her mind was relatively calm but she did feel a slight edge of agitation. She didn't want to see Bella hurt anymore than anyone else did. The human was her friend, a sister already even, and she cared for her. For all their careful plans and considerations, she didn't want to see it all crash and tumble down at this hurdle. It would be more than a shame, it would be disastrous. Just thinking about what it would do to Edward was not something she enjoyed.
She crossed the rest of the room and sat down quietly. Her brightly coloured eyes scanned the room quickly, seeing that nearly everyone was here already. They had obviously all been rather quick about getting here after she had contacted each of them. It was reassuing to know. Alice did find it slightly amusing that although she was the one to bring them all back here, she was one of the last to arrive. "So," she said softly, unsure what to do. Her focus was on Edward now, anxious as to his reaction. He didn't seem all too cheerful.
Her eyes lost focus suddenly though and the sounds of her family became distant in her own ears. It appeared as if she was looking at something hovering in the air, something which was quite obviously not there. What Alice was actually seeing was Bella in Port Angeles, Bella in Port Angeles with a vampire, Bella in Port Angeles in a great deal of danger. "Edward," she said quietly, her voice still distant even as her eyes refocused.

The front door of the house opened only enough to allow a narrow frame through it. Blonde hair stuck out from all angles, twigs were continuously being pulled out by frustrated fingers. Waves of anger and frustration emminated throughout the room. Jasper saw out of the corner of his golden eye the scene unfolding before him. His hands fell to his sides, and his anger melted into a mix of angst and a hint of shock. His silent heart sank-he knew something was wrong. Not wrong in the sense that Alice found more people to invite to the wedding, but the 'Bella is the center of all the world's evil' kind of wrong. Even if he hadn't radiated fear, his family would have seen the anxiety in his eyes.
Jasper finally moved from his frozon stance. Gliding over to the couch, he sat on the opposite corner from Edward. His brother had a wild mix of emotions surrounding him much like his own, only with such an intensity he couldn't bear.
He swallowed a buildup of venom in his mouth and said in almost a whisper. "What happened? Where's Bella?"

Carlisle was finally starting to gain control of his thoughts once more when he saw Edward come in, he nodded slowly. He turned to his wife noticing the direct eye contact and waited. That’s when fate decided it was indeed going to be that cruel. Alice walked in, she looked fine but within a few seconds Carlisle fist tightened in his lap as he watched Alice’s eyes glaze over. NO! He sat deathly still, watching Alice, as she stuttered Edward. Carlisle was on his feet within seconds. Where was Bella? Who had gotten her now? He made his way within seconds to Jasper who was asking the same Who? What? When? Where? And Why?’s that Carlisle was absolutely dying to know.
Bella was so incredibly fragile. Carlisle’s mind twisted into the girl he and Esme had seen only an hour before. His inner gut twisted, as the girls face turned to Bella’s in his mind. The way the paramedics slowed, she had died. NO, it wasn’t happening. He followed Jasper’s gaze to Alice, waiting almost as impatient. He had a plan developing in the back of his mind. Would Carlisle had what it took to help Bella if she was in deed in the same condition as the others were. Carlisle was loosing his patience, Bella was lying somewhere, or worse she wasn’t lying anywhere. Being tortured, as Carlisle’s mind got the best of him, he looked up to notice Edward and quickly pushed them aside. Not only was Edward dealing with this himself, but he didn’t need any more struggles coming from himself.
Carlisle ran a hand through his hair in order to calm himself. He needed to get his thoughts in order, he didn’t need to worry Edward more, he finally took a step away from Jasper. The anxious feeling was going to drive them all crazy. He looked to Edward. ‘Maybe it’s best if just we went..’ He knew Emmett would throw a small hussy fit, maybe even Jasper. They needed to travel small, so they unnoticed, then Carlisle would need to start immediate healing on Bella, and of course no one was going to get Edward to just sit and wait and be a good dear. The silence in the room was enough by itself besides the haunting feeling that Bella could be very well gone by now.

Edward's eyes flew to Alice the moment she stepped into the room. And still no sign of Bella. Which meant she wasn't here. His body tensed, barely noticing the concerned looks he was receiving from his family. He opened his mouth to ask Alice what the hell was going on when her eyes took on a familiar glassy stare.
And then he was no longer in the room. He was there, seeing the vision exactly as Alice was seeing it. There was Bella...terrified...alone in Port Angeles, and she was being...
"NO!" he roared. Edward sprang from his seat, fists clenched at his sides. He was breathing heavily, shaking his head at Alice, refusing to believe what he'd just seen. But the vision was so clear. And Alice was rarely wrong. He felt almost incapacitated with terror. All he seemed to be able to do was look to Carlisle, who had also risen. His father's thoughts echoed through his mind.
Carlisle thought it best if only the two of them went. Edward wasn't in the right state of mind currently to care who went and who didn't...as long as he could get to her in time. But if she were...if she were hurt...he'd need Carlisle.
Realizing they were just standing there doing nothing, Edward let out a growl of frustration directed at himself. He managed a nod at Carlisle and quickly turned and raced out the door, knowing the man would follow.
Please, please, please let me get there in time...please...

Carlisle heard the almost too familiar ‘no’ from Edward that was coming from his own mind. He watched Edward till he finally received the nod. He wasn’t about to wait for Alice’s response as Jasper was. Carlisle’s mind was far from here now but he had to keep somewhat of a focus. He turned to Esme. “Love, have a tub of hot water waiting, would you?” He then quickly turned on his heel to face Emmett and Jasper. “Secure the house, and check Charlie’s to make sure, nothing suspicious is going on”
Then turned towards Alice. “If you see anything else, don’t forget any details” Carlisle then turned back to Rose, now making a whole circle. He took a few steps closer to her so she would be the only one to hear what he was about to say. “ If anything happens here, do not let Emmett or Jasper out of your site” With that Carlisle nodded firmly before pulling off his coat. He ran towards the door, plopping it on it’s holder before bolting out the door.
His eyes caught site of Edward. His eyes focused on what was ahead. He let Edward get a little ahead, he was after all following. He had no idea whhat Bella had landed herself in this time. He shook his head in disbelief, she wasn’t going to end up like that girl. Not if he or Edward had anything to say about it. Carlisle would finally get to see the face of who was causing all this pain, the fear, and the iniquity among the household and town.

Jasper stood up and began to pace, trying to calm himself. He knew his emotions had to be rough on his family. His worried eyes glanced over at Alice, then back at Carlisle, and then, regrettably, Edward. Smoldering eyes stared Jasper down as they met. ... Look, Edward. I am just as worried as you. I have tried to keep my thoughts and emotions under control for all of us, especially you. I would be the first to defend Bella, you know that. I know this is hard, but it will be even harder if you look at your family like they are the ones, well, we're just trying to help, and I am trying to be calm. Jasper directed his thoughts to Edward. He hated being cruel, but he absorbed Edward's emotions, which then became his, which he then released unconciously to the people he loved. He knew Edward was directly causing them pain, and he was the only one who ever called him on it.
To make up for his panic, a wave of calm spread through the house. Jasper thought about the last time he felt releif, after the last fight ended triumphantly.
"Carlisle, what's going on? No one else will tell me, I trust you may confide in me in this matter, considering the fact that everyone is panicking and I haven't any idea why!" His stress had boiled over. There were not many times he was jealous of Edward's ability, however, this time was an exception. He also understood why Alice hated to be 'blind' when the wolves were in the picture. The wolves... could it be a problem in La Push? he thought to himself. Jasper shook his head as if it would clear it, but he decided it would be better for everyone's mental capacity if he simply waited for an answer.

Emmett watched the scene playout before him, it was moving so quickly Emmett swore he missed about eight different things. He noticed Edward come in, then Alice. He sighed turning back to Esme, Carlisle but before he could fully grasp there thoughts Carlisle was up and Edward was panicked, Jasper was now here next to Alice. Emmett shook his head trying to follow, he listened and before he knew it Carlisle and Edward were gone. Emmett sat there slightly dumbfounded before looking over to Jasper. He chuckled softly feeling slightly disappointed he didn’t get to be part of the action. He decided he’d help Jasper out.
“There’s some crazy vampires out there having the thrill to kill. They’re dangerous to Bella, and have been transforming lots of humans, dangerous to you and me. Alice saw something, most likely Bella tripped and fell again, somehow hurt herself and is in mortal danger” Emmett shrugged starring back to his brother. “That’s about all I know, if anything you know more then me” He turned to Esme before remembering what Carlisle had said. He wanted them to secure the house and to check out Charlie’s. His eyes went back to Rose. What had Carlisle wanted Rose to do, that no one else should have heard?
He pushed it from his mind, it wasn’t entirely about what Em wanted in the first place. It was about Bella being safe, and yeah that was mostly it. He looked back to Jasper and then looked around the house. “So what do you want to do Jasper, go over to Charlie’s or secure the house?” Emmett asked, looking outside. This couldn’t be another run for there money, but it was definitely going to be risky on a few of there parts. Em just hoped he could prove Carlisle of his strength. That he wouldn’t turn on his adoptive father the second he was put to the test, he wanted to do this for him, for himself.

Jasper ceased his pacing and looked at Emmett. While he had been able to stop his emotions from radiating, he was smothered in them. He sighed deeply, taking in Rosalie's and Emmett's scents. He sat back down on the arm of the couch with one hand on his knee, and shook his head again, trying to clear his head to make a decision.
"We need to check on Charlie, he can never go unwatched. If there are any newborns under control, he might be okay, but if they're loose they'll smell Bella and due to her abscense will go for the nearest kill. We check on Charlie, and in the meantime one of us goes back to secure the house."
His gaze met Rosalie's eyes, who then looked to the floor. Any military man would know that look. The look of guilt. She was hiding something, most likely that whisper from Carlisle. Jasper kept his eyes locked onto hers. He stood up and walked toward her.
"Rosalie, I...I want to know..." he sighed, feeling her guilt, he decided he would find out soon enough, away from Emmett. She hated keeping things from him, and he shouldn't be the one who would force her to tell the man she loved. "Would you mind terribly coming back to secure the house? There is a significantly greater chance of these, well, I am too much a gentlemen to say what but whatever they shall be called, would be at Charlie's house. If they are newborns without any guidance or out of control, there is nothing here to lure them. Between my experience and Emmett's, well, being Emmett, we are needed there more than here."
He looked at Emmett and said "Get your things, we need to leave now." Jasper tossed the keys at Emmett. The Jeep logo landed firmly on the couch. Jasper's eyes were still liquid gold, but were turned dark with the mood behind them. The Confederate Soldier and hardened murderer in him had returned to become the Jasper Hale of methodology, illusiveness, and fear, only this time, not in himself.
