Alice barely noticed Carlisle's quick entrance and exit of their home. It registered in her mind, which was more than on some occasions. Currently her attention was split between the events in the room and ones miles away in the forest in the very near future. Everyone was in so much pain and there was nothing she could do to help them. It was one of those things which was incredibly painful to watch but you just couldn't tear your eyes away. There were probably far more useful things she could be doing just then but she had been sucked in. In a peculiar way, the entire vision was intriguing. It was sickening and the fear which washed through her entire being was horrible, but she kept being drawn in. Sucked inwards a little further with every move.
She finally snapped out of it when Esme spoke directly to her, instructing her to do something. Alice jumped swiftly to her feet and nodded once to her mother. She disappeared into the kitchen, eyes darting around the room for Carlisle's first aid kit. She spotted it quickly, lying on the kitchen side, distinct green against the grey surface. The plastic box clattered slightly as she picked it up and rushed towards the cabinet in the bathroom. They usually had some morphine in the house but even so Alice was worried that they would be out. Bella seemed to need it rather frequently. A taught smile flickered across her face she grabbed some, hurrying back to their front room. "Here you are Esme," she said quietly, handing the things over to her. Speaking louder, she turned to Bella, "it's alright Bella, I'm here and so is Esme, it's going to be fine."

Esme gave a relieved sigh, as Bella told her there was no burning in her wounds, which meant there was no venom in her bloodstream. As Alice went to get the first aid kit and the morphine, she gently stroked Bella’s forehead to calm her. Alice came back about half a second later thankfully with everything Bella needed in her hands. First she took two small wooden strips and held them against Bella’s wrist to hold it in place while she bandaged her fragile broken bones. She then turned to the two deep wounds on her shoulders and grabbed to morphine. She injected it on both sides of her neck beside the bites. “Now then, you wont feel so much pain. You’ll be numb soon and we can start cleaning out those cuts.” She gave Bella warm smile and soft hug. Reassurance was all she needed then. Esme wasn’t even sure Bella cared about how her body felt. Bella most likely cared most about what was going to happen to Edward and Carlisle at that time. “They’re going to be fine dear don’t stress about it. You need to rest."
Esme got up and swiftly grabbed a blanket from the corner and covered Bella up. All she needed to do now is wait until Bella was numb and patch up her wounds, but she felt like it wasn’t enough. She was never a fighting person or vampire for that matter, but she felt like she should be helping Carlisle and their sons. She walked over to Alice and gave her a tight hug. And looked back into Alice’s eyes. A worried and sickened look lined her face. That couldn’t be good. Esme pointed her head in the direction of the hallway so that they could talk privately without alarming Bella. Then, she made her way across the room, turning her head to give Bella one last comforting smile.
