Edward didn't protest when the vampire was taken out of his hands. Jasper was just as angry as he seemed to be and as long as this stranger was being restrained, that was all that mattered. He stared down at the struggling creature in unmasked contempt, jaw clenched as he focused on the other's thoughts, trying to find a reason, a motive...anything that would explain him being here and attempting to attack a human in a public place. And not just any human. His human. His Bella. There was no excuse for it. And Edward was merciless when it came to her safety. He'd do anything to ensure it. Anything.
As thoughts were wont to do, the ones belonging to this vampire were revealing, telling Edward a number of things that were useful. Before he could mention them, however, the stranger began pleading with them.
"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. I'll leave... But maybe... The girl?"
Edward froze. And then he saw red. His body trembled with it. The only thing that saved the other vampire was Edward's incapacitating rage and the echo of Jasper's calming thoughts sent to him. He knew what Jasper was telling him made sense, but it was difficult to concentrate when Bella's life had just been threatened. His glare was locked on the vampire in his brother's hold, hands turning to fists at his sides as he envisioned ten different ways of killing him. Ripping him to pieces and burning the remains. The nerve. The nerve that he would even dare ask for her...
Edward shut his eyes and turned away for a moment, needing to calm himself. But he was overcome with an even greater need of searching out Bella and ensuring that she was in fact safe. He caught her wide and frightened stare from behind the fountain and breathed a slow exhalation of relief, though it was ridiculous to think she'd been harmed. The vampire who had threatened her was currently being given a verbal lashing by Jasper and the sound had Edward turning back to the altercation, more controlled than before but no less angry. He closed the distance between himself and the other, towering above him with a glare harder than the surface of his very skin.
"I will say this only once, for if it is not taken to heart you will no longer be a living creature on this earth. The girl is none of your concern. If you even think about harming her, I will know about it, and I will remove you from existence myself," Edward said, his voice dangerously low as he reaffirmed Jasper's own warnings. He let the words linger and sink in before he looked once more into the mind of the other, taking of it what he could.
"He was a part of Victoria's army," he said, addressing Jasper but never once taking his gaze off the stranger. It was clear he was recently turned. His thoughts were frantic...all over the place. It was difficult to get a clear view. But that little piece of information was enough.
"Your name. And your connection to Victoria," Edward demanded, not willing to forgive him anything, no matter how young he was. He didn't know what the newborn was still doing here, but he was sure as hell going to find out.

Bella cowered behind the fountain, never taking her eyes off the group of three vampires that was in front of her. Suddenly, a little baby duck swam by. ‘Aww, Jasper was right. They are really cute.’ She thought to herself, and then right as that thought crossed her mind the duck smiled, showing gleaming white teeth that were way to big for its bill.
‘Wait a minute, ducks aren’t supposed to have teeth.’ Bella thought to herself then a realization came to her. Carefully reaching her hand out, she went to bat the duck and curiously it obliged. Taking the baby in her hand Bella stroked the top of its head. At that moment the duck smiled again, and bit her hard on the finger. Bella yelped and threw the duckling back in the fountain water, slowing edging away from it, clutching her now bleeding finger.
“Dammit!” She swore, trying to suck up the blood before the three vampires smelt it especially her attacker. Taking a deep breath, Bella stuck her hand in the water to wash away the blood and quickly pulled it out again, breathing in and out, trying not to faint.
Bella slowly got up from her spot and moved to a near by tree so that she was now away from the supposedly vampire ducks. ‘Would they come after her too?’ These random thoughts ran threw her mind as she began to now listen to the conversation.
"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. I'll leave... But maybe... The girl?" She heard the hunter say. This made Bella shiver and shrink up even more, but she knew he would never harm her with the hold Jasper currently had on him. Listing as the two Cullen’s threatened him more, Bella became to calm down. It was all going to be fine, after all no one could beat Edward or Jasper, and the two of them together were lethal. This vampire had it coming.

As Edward began to interrogate the newborn himself, Jasper flinched, and then froze in place. A tantalizing scent of floral blood whisked around his nostrils and seared his throat. His onyx eyes crazed with anger now deepend in thirst. He was immediately taken back to the day that Bella had given herself a paper cut, and that was when his muscles became the granite statue that he had always resembled. He wouldn't let himself do this, not again, not after how hard he had worked to gain back his family's trust, and especially Carlisle, Edward, and Bella. No matter how irresistable the scent was, it would never be enough to draw him away from all the progress he had made.
As Jasper's clouded thoughts cleared into logical reasoning once more, he felt the bubble of rage beside him and began damage control. If Edward had seen his thoughts at that moment, he would insist Jasper return home, and he could not leave him alone with the newborn that had threatened Bella without a sure visit from the Volturi. ---Edward, I can handle it. It's not as difficult as it was before. She isn't badly hurt, please, just trust me. I'm fine now.---He knew better than to suggest Edward check on Bella; he did not want him to think it was that severe. though there was definately something strange about that cut, it bled slightly more than nessesary...Jasper stopped himself before his brother would catch on. He focused himself on the vampire in front of him, pressing fear into his prey to will him to give them his name.

(((hope it's ok if I jump in?)))
Crystal watched all the events unfold before her. She was walking along the side walk that went past the park. She watched as the girl, Bella, she remembered, talk to some vampires that she suspected to be the famous Edward and Jasper. She didn't want to get close enough to be noticed so she just watched as smiles bounced around them as they interacted. Crystal wished for that kind of love to be in her life. She hadn't remembered that last time someone said they loved her...
She was snapped back from her longing thoughts when suddenly a male vampire lurched for the unknowing Bella. Crystal nearly ran after him herself, but the ever vigilant Edward and Jasper had him pinned down before she could think to put a force field around the new vampire. She jumped behind a tree as they talked. She could make out some of the conversation, but only a little. She suddenly had the instinct to make sure no one saw the incident. She used all her senses and found that there was none.
Chris thought about why she would want to protect someone who was first a human, but second she didn't even know her at all?! She had never really met Bella, Edward, or even Jasper. But she had wanted to help them...
She shrugged off her thoughts as a new smell erupted from Bella, it was almost overwhelming, but Chris had enough practice at sustaining her urge. Plus it helped that she had fed just recently.
Chris was worried about Bella's blood. After her deathly thoughts subsided she could tell that the bleeding wasn't normal. Crystal knew that an unknown vampire talking to Bella was the best way to commit suicide, when Edward was around. But she could help her curiosity, and the nagging in the back of her mind that something might be wrong pushed her further.
Chris skillfully maneuvered her way to Bella without being seen or heard. She sneaked around to the tree that Bella was now sitting at. Chris softly spoke hoping not frighten Bella, and alarm the others. "Psst...Bella?" She whispered.
"Are you ok? What happened your finger is bleeding, but it's not...normal. Oh, by the way it's Crystal from the Coffee Shop we met a few days earlier. Please don't be scared or anything. I'm not here to hurt you, I just want to make sure everything is alright...is it?" Crystal hoped with all her being that it was.
Crystal waited for a response.

Bella kept her eyes on the fight as she sucked her bleeding finger trying to make the blood stop. Glancing around she thought she was alone, but as her brown ovals turned back there was now a face in front of her. Gasping Bella almost jumped a foot in the air. She recognized the vampire before she got a chance to introduce herself.
"Are you ok? What has happened? Your finger is bleeding, but it's not...normal. Oh, by the way it's Crystal from the Coffee Shop we met a few days earlier. Please don't be scared or anything. I'm not here to hurt you; I just want to make sure everything is alright...is it?" The vampire told her.
Getting as close to the tree as possible Bella kept staring wide eyed at her. She glanced over at the boys who were thankfully not paying any attention. If Edward saw Crystal she would be toast. Calming herself down Bella took in a big breathe then began to respond.
“….Um…hi. I’m fine, it’s just a bite. It’s fine, really, but how are…you?” She asked tentatively. “How did you find me anyways?” Bella asked her, through sucking her finger. She didn’t want to pull it out, especially now. Bella didn’t know if Crystal was really safe or just playing.
Glancing over at Edward once more, she gave a reassuring smile in Jasper’s direction and then turned back to the girl in front of her.

While waiting for Edward's decision about the intruder, Jasper's senses picked up a new scent in the general vicinity of where floral smelling blood bled, but this new smell was sticky sweet, similar to his own. Another vampire had crept into the scene. He searched the park for new emotions, passing past the rage eminating from Edward, past the fear from the vampire he had pinned to the ground, past the fear from Bella, and then halted when he came across worry. While Jasper was attuned to the human's unique anxiety patterns, this was different. It was mild, but strong enough to be detected. Although his throat ached with dryness and thirst, he inhaled deeply to memorize the newcomer's scent. Still focusing his weight onto his prisoner, he jerked his head around and gazed toward the fountain he had hidden Bella behind. The ducks were absent, but were replaced by a pale female with dark hair. Another vampire was present. He fixed his onyx eyes onto the male once more, and searched for any fear in Bella. There was the fearful emotion that had presented itself when Bella was attacked, so he could not tell if this was caused by the vampire or the recollection of previous events.
---Edward, try not to worry, I don't feel any new terror coming from her, I don't think the new one is harmful. I can take care of this one if you want to check on Bella and her new 'friend'. This one will be a lot easier to interrogate if you are here, however.--- Jasper then ran what little information he had on the man he held captive. If he was part of Victoria's army, there must be more of them still. Great, he thought to himself. All that the future bride and groom needed was another deciphil of that red-haired beast returning to attack. He did, however, seem to act as if the attack was umplanned and spontanious, after all, if he was ordered to kill Bella, would he have done so in a public park surrounded by Edward and Jasper? Only time, and the newborn's thoughts would tell.

Bella had said that it was fine, Chris wasn't about to believe her. Crystal slowly stuck out her hand signaling for Bella to lay hers in it. she didn't want Bella to thinking that she meant harm so she said, "It's ok, Bella, I'm not thirsty. I've already fed and I've had my fill for today. Please let me see the wound." Leah reassuringly spoke.
As Bella slowly reached out Crystal thought to direct Bella's elsewhere as she examined the cut. "I was just walking around Forks waiting for my next shift, to start work at the Coffee Shop. That's when I saw you and the others. I'm sorry for that vampire. I don't know him, but I was too slow to stop him before your friend's over there pinned him down." Crystal's form went rigged. She didn't want to give away her distress to Bella, but quickly asked. "How did you get this cut. You said that you were...bitten? Did the vampire bite you before they got to him?"
Chris's mind was racing with thoughts. Her stomach churned with dread as she waited for an answer. She knew that Bella was hurt by something that wasn't normal. She could see and smell the very small amount of venom that was laying on the wound.
Crystal knew it had to be taken off before it hit her bloodstream. That's when it would start to burn...
(((I hope that's ok? If I put in that there's venom on her. It just seems logical since she was biten by a vampire like duck...if not I can change it...later)))

Bella flashed a small smile to Jasper, but he knew otherwise. Her hand rested in the newcomers, and she seemed fine with it. He wanted to help her, but that would be her fiancee's job, not his. He could hear bits and peices of the conversation, but felt it was insignificant until Bella said she had been bitten, and he knew the vampire would attempt to suck out the venom. Though he was certain the newcomer was not a newborn or of Victoria's Army, he could not be certain if she was 'vegitarian' like himself. He took another glance at the female, and searched for the color of her eyes...
(( OOC: what color are Crystal's eyes? ))

00C: Yay Im in peril again. lol this is starting to get old. I want to fight!!! gah Edward turn me already, my new site is going to be sweet Im gonna be a vampire I Hope. BD COME OUT FASTER!!
Bella looked up at Crystal and then back at Jasper. She realized that he was looking over here. Her chocolate eyes quickly evaded his eyes, and they swiftly moved to the vampire in front of her once more. She watched her examine her wound as well as the expression on her face which was falling more and more every second.
Crystal's question confused Bella and then she realized what she was talking about. "Oh, no. I got bitten by the ducks over there, but they were weird though. They weren't normal baby ducks. Anyway, but why does that matter? Is anything wrong?" She asked, her tone of voice now becoming more urgent.
Was something wrong with her? Was that duck that bit her...not a duck? Bella glanced back over at Jasper who was defiantly looking over here now and she grimaced.
(Sorry its short)

Bella's chocolate eyes met Jaspers, and he knew she did not like it. Though most humans, and vampires alike did not like being stared at, but he was shooting her an optical warning to be cautious. He did not want to scare her, but he wanted her to be wary. There was, however, a trustworthiness he found present in the other vampire. She had said she saw Bella at the coffeeshop, which meant that she found herself to resist human blood without trial. Still he strained to see the color of her eyes, but her head was not facing his direction.
"Fine, you want to be quiet? Until we get some answers, we will have to assume that you are hostile and have no hope of changing, and we will have to dispose of you." Though this was not nessesarily true, he pulsed fear into the victim underneath him once more, and again, waited for an answer.
