Crystal knew what she had to do. She couldn't wait for her permission, or the others approval. She very quickly brushed her lips across the cut and took out the venom before anything happened. It was so quick Crystal didn't think that Bella even felt it.
After crystal cleared her head from the almost overwhelming urge to do more then help her, she glanced back at the other vampires in hopes that they hadn't seen her. She didn't want them to think that she was trying to kill Bella. Her piercing blue, that reflected her power. she cringed as she looked back at Bella after being spotted by one of the vampires.
Chris couldn't read the expression on Bella's face. whether she was worried or glad that she had helped her.
(((Sorry it's so short, not much time...Sorry this is supposed to be Crystal not Leah! Just ignore the Leah stuff...thanks!)))

Edward was growing steadily impatient. The menacing look he was giving the vampire in Jasper’s grasp had not faltered, nor would it any time soon, at least not until he received more information. It seemed that would have to wait, however, for not a moment later a very alarming scent came to his attention. Edward sensed Jasper tensing beside him and suddenly he was struck with the flowery, intoxicating scent that had been both his heaven and hell for some time now.
Bella’s blood.
Every thought of the new vampire was abandoned. Edward straightened quickly and snapped his head towards Bella’s hiding place, but before he could rush to her a flickering of Jasper’s thoughts, so very focused on control, came to him. Edward turned his attention on Jasper, torn between checking on Bella and making sure Jasper wouldn’t let his instincts overtake him. His feet remained planted in the grass beside the other two male vampires. It was clear from the faintness of the scent that Bella was not hurt badly, and thus the real worry right now was the very young vampire and keeping him away from Bella. Jasper he could trust, but this stranger…not at all.
“Make one wrong move and you’ll be torn to pieces,” Edward told the frightened vampire, his velvet voice suddenly hard with threat.
Bella’s scent was still thick on the air, so much more potent for Edward than anyone else. Perhaps this was why he didn’t immediately notice that a new scent now mingled with Bella’s. Instead, Edward first noticed Jasper’s sudden preoccupation with something other than the vampire in his hold. It was only when Jasper began to attempt to reassure him that Edward realized yet another vampire was near. His eyes widened, panic gripping him when he tried to search out the currently unprotected Bella. He caught sight of her with a female he didn’t recognize, and they seemed to be conversing. Edward knew that Bella would be dead already if the vampire meant her harm, but that didn’t stop him from nearly being overcome with fear for her safety.
What if she had meant her harm?
It was then, as this very thought filled him, that he saw the vampire lift Bella's hand to her lips. His breathing stopped. And then he was a blur. He reached Bella, yanking her away from the vampire, too panicked to make sense of the situation. He quickly lifted Bella's hand, nearly trembling as he inspected it. It was a bite...of that he was certain. And yet no venom was visible, nor could he smell any. Confusion soon mingled with his fear.
"Does it burn?" he asked Bella in a rushed voice, his eyes intensely fixed on her. "Did she bite you, Bella?"

Crystal quickly jumped back as Edward grabbed Bella away from her. Too shocked to speak Crystal slowly stood and made every move precise. She didn't want to alarm anyone. Bella's face hadn't left Edward's since he arrived and Crystal was worried that she had gone too far in trying to help.
Chris wished with all or soul that she was somewhere else at that moment in time...anywhere. Only she couldn't just take off and hope to not be followed. Plus she wanted to clear her name of ever trying to hurt humans...again. As much as she wanted to run as fast as her legs could carry, she stayed.
Her icy blue eyes were traveling over what was happening. Jasper was still with the other vampire and Edward had Bella in his arms and was cradling her hand. Chris wasn't sure what to say so she mumbled a small "sorry" hoping that might ease him some. She certainly didn't want him to try and fight her.
As she waited for Bella's response and Edwards, she slowly but surely put a force field around her. To shield any attack that may come, hoping it would give her enough time to go if need be...

Bella watched Crystal anxiously as she looked out to Edward and Jasper then back. Crystal then did something Bella did not expect. Taking Bella’s hand, Crystal bent over it in a fashion she recognized. Crystal was going to suck the apparent venom out of her wound! Bella cringed, but knew better then to move. She had to keep still or her cut could become worse.
A few minutes later Bella noticed that Crystal had lifted her head and was looking at her. Had she done it? Bella hadn’t felt a thing. Sighing in relief, she gave Crystal a reassuring smile, and a quick nod to signal that she was ok. And just as she was about to slide her hand away to examine it herself, something hard yanked her away and started cradling her hand.
Looking up Bella realized to her surprise that it was Edward. How had he gotten over here? She had just seen him over there with Jasper who as she looked to see, was still in the same place, over the other vampire. Puzzled Bella gave Edward a quizzical look, and watched as he examined her wound.
"Does it burn?" "Did she bite you, Bella?" He asked her rushed and urgent. Bella shook her head furiously, still gazing up into his topaz eyes.
“No. Edward, you’ve got it backwards. Crystal was saving me. Apparently, the ducks in the pond over there, our little guest had a snack on before he came over to us. Edward, there are vampire ducklings over there. They are not normal.” She said in hushed tones. When all came out she had to smile for it sounded ridicules even though it was nothing but the truth. Looking up at Edward, a smile still plastered onto her face she tried to assure him she was fine.
“By the way, how is my little attacker doing over there? Is he dead yet?” She asked with a little too much curiosity.

Crystal was relieved that Bella explained things, and hoped that that would be understood that she wasn't trying to harm her.
“By the way, how is my little attacker doing over there? Is he dead yet?” Bella asked. Chris was curious too. She wondered if this vampire really knew who he was dealing with.
Without fully knowing why Crystal began to walk over to the vampires on the ground. She stood over their bodies, then crouched down beside them. Her piercing blue eyes locked with the frightened red ones that lay before her. "Who are you?" Crystal didn't know why she was talking with this vampire that just tried to kill Bella, but she felt that she had too. Her long brown hair fell off her shoulder as she leaned over him. He seemed young, possibly around her age. She was fifteen and figured that maybe he was too. His hair tousled, no doubt from the struggle...

Jasper watched as Edward tore Bella from the hand of the new vampire. What shocked him more was when she crouched down beside him. Icy blue eyes wavered over his captive, and Jasper suddenly knew what to do. He stood, holding the prisoner's neck in his hand, forcing him into the air with no effort at all. The lighter in his pocket flashed through his mind once more.
Pressing him against a mossy tree, Jasper turned toward the newcomer. "You know him?" he asked. The female beside him looked no older than fifteen, as did the one he held by the neck. While this would be a strange introduction, he knew that this female meant no harm, and held out his free hand. "Jasper Hale." He told her his name. He moved his eyes from the male to the female as he felt them lightening into their normal amber color.

Crystal watched as Jasper moved the other vampire to the tree, and offered his hand in introduction. "Jasper Hale" He said as his eyes changed color.
Crystal was slightly hesitant, but accepted his friendly gesture. "Crystal Misterio, nice to meet you." She replied in a voice that barely hinted her Mexican heritage. "And, no, I don't know him."
Crystal looked into the red eyes of the new vampire. She wondered about his past and how he came to be this way. She wanted to know him, but she didn't. Crystal let go of Jasper's hand then brought her's to her waist. It was a normal stance that she took, whenever she was thinking about something.
Flashes of her past suddenly came to view, and she felt her insides turn. She instantly closed her eyes and her hands curled into fists. The torture of her Uncle came to mind and hate filled venom flowed in her mouth. Somehow this vampire reminded her of herself, when she was just a newborn. Her past had always haunted her, but nothing like this had ever happened, before, at least not so spontaneously. It took all the control she had to open her eyes, and try to calm down.
She desperately pushed back the memories and stared into the red eyes before her. She seemed frozen in place and felt a power within her she had never felt before...

After the introduction, Jasper felt an immense amount of tension, anger, and fear radiate from the one he now knew as Crystal. He saw her eyes meet the captive, and watched as her muscles tensed. He knew how red eyes brought back so many painful memories for vegetarians like himself, and how those red eyes could have been identical to his.
Jasper wasn't sure what to do. Crystal did not know of his ability, so what harm would it do to calm her down a touch? He slowly drained hints of serenity from his memories, yet in an amount so faint it could not be detected as an outside force. While he knew that people liked to feel their own emotions, wether it be stressful or rewarding, and sometimes were upset when he intervened, he could not risk a sudden attack from Crystal. She seemed friendly enough, but Jasper found it hard to trust his own kind due to past experience. He did not know her temper, or how high her tolerance level was. All he could do was try to keep Edward calm, Bella safe and preferably out of the ER, and get some answers out of his prisoner without him being torn to shreds, no pun intended.
Jasper's gaze flickered from Crystal to the captive, and back. He was still unsure of her interest in this man; and his paranoia did not help. "You alright?" he asked when she put her hand to her waist. He spoke slowly and clearly, using his natural karisma and caring eyes.
He shifted hands to the man's throat, and thought to his brother.---He's not saying anything. What should we do? We can't exactly get rid of him, we don't want the-well, you know coming out here. We could let him go if we needed to; we can't handle trying to lead him in the vegetarian direction now, and I am sure he won't cross paths with us again, or Bella's." he waited for two responses.

Bella looked dazed, but strangely she seemed unharmed despite the very clear wound on her hand. Edward frowned down at it and ripped a small piece of his shirt off so he could wrap it around her hand and stem the flow of the bleeding. He tied it tightly, all the while listening to her assure him she was okay and that this mysterious new vampire had helped rather than harmed her. Edward chanced a quick glance at the other female, who mumbled a quiet apology before heading towards Jasper and Bella's would-be attacker. When his eyes returned to Bella she was smiling.
"Your 'little attacker' is being too quiet for his own good," Edward replied, his tone slightly on edge still. "I believe we've frightened him into speechlessness." Edward sighed and looked over to where Jasper and the vampire still stood. He didn't want to alarm Bella more than was necessary so he decided to keep the information that her attacker was a newborn left over from Victoria's army to himself. Edward watched as Jasper took the young vampire and lifted him by his throat up against a tree. He was torn by wanting to join them again and staying here with Bella. After a short, tense moment, he sighed again and grabbed Bella's uninjured hand.
"Come on," he said, clearly not liking the entire situation but seeing no other alternatives. He began heading towards Jasper again with Bella in tow, keeping his movements steady and concentrating on his surroundings with an intense awareness. "You are to stay behind me at all times," he told her over his shoulder, his tone leaving no room for argument. There was no way he was leaving her by herself again lest she be approached by yet another stranger and he knew that this vampire situation would get resolved quicker if he helped.
When he finally reached the small group, he stayed a good few steps back for Bella's safety. His eyes went from Jasper and the smaller vampire in his hold, to Crystal. Edward's tense presence softened slightly.
"I want to thank you for helping Bella," he told her, his eyes holding genuine appreciation despite the formality of his tone. "I apologize for my behavior and unfair assumptions."
When the echo of Jasper's thoughts reached him, Edward returned his gaze once more to his brother and the vampire he had by the neck. A frown marred his lips as he stared at the stranger. Jasper was right, of course. The last thing they needed right now was a visit from the Volturi, especially not with the wedding so close. And as much as Edward loathed the idea of letting the young vampire go, it seemed to be their only option at the moment. He'd just need to be even more on guard around Bella than usual, is all.
"Let him go," Edward said, clearly disgusted by the notion but resolved nonetheless. His next words were directed at the newborn with nothing but menace lining his tone now. "I wouldn't look at this as an act of mercy on our part. Because if I see you anywhere near her again you'll be ashes before you can blink."

Jasper kept his eyes on the captive as Edward led Bella toward Crystal. He saw his brother take on the defensive pose that he had so many times before, but this time, a sincere apology broke the monotony. He listened to him threaten the newborn, and decided to set him free. Jasper pulsed another wave of fear throughout his prisoner, and whispered.
"And I carry matches." his addition was sure to carry the fear he sent. He backed up, holding the man by the throat without the tree's support. Dropping him, he grabbed him by the shirt and pushed him down, creating a small dent in the grass. Jasper made a mental note to erase the evidence he had just created.
---We should probably take Bella to Carlisle for stitches--- he thought. ---She seems alright, though.---
Jasper turned to look at Crystal. He brushed off his hands and said. "Thank you for your help." While he did not thank her for sending Edward into defense mode, he thanked her for helping Bella both physically and mentally. He bowed his head as he said so, then began kicking around the dirt imprint to smooth it out.
Jasper chuckled to himself as he thought, ---You would think two vampires and one klutzy human could spend a day at the park without someone's mortality being involved.---
